This Privacy Policy describes how Deki Studio ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in relation to the VoiceToText Android application ("the App").
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The App operates entirely on your device and through your own third-party API account.
2. HOW THE APP WORKS
VoiceToText processes audio files shared from WhatsApp. Here is what happens:
- The audio file is temporarily stored in the app's local cache on your device.
- The audio is sent directly to Groq's API using your personal API key.
- The transcription result is returned and stored locally on your device.
- The temporary audio file is not retained after processing.
3. YOUR API KEY
Your Groq API key is stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences. It is never transmitted to Deki Studio or any server operated by us. All API calls are made directly from your device to Groq's servers using your own credentials.
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App uses Groq's API for audio transcription. When you transcribe audio, the audio file is sent to Groq's servers. Please review Groq's privacy policy at groq.com/privacy-policy to understand how they handle your data.
5. DATA STORAGE
All transcriptions are stored locally on your device only. We have no access to your transcription history. You can delete individual transcriptions or all data at any time from within the App.
6. INTERNET PERMISSION
The App requires internet access solely to communicate with Groq's API for transcription. No other network requests are made.
7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
